Our dataset is fully in-house sourced, shielding you from legal risk.

Our in-house team uses a high-quality motion capture pipeline to create our motion library, which is the result of recording real human performers.

With daily recording sessions, our team selects the right performer for the task to ensure every motion is authentic and of high quality.

To serve our users first and foremost, we add user-requested motions to our schedule, and let users telecommute to the set.

Our animators touch up and polish the recorded motions. Users can even request specific fixes or polish on particular motions when needed.

Auto/custom rig and retarget

Cairos offers powerful features to streamline your 3D character workflow. The autorig feature automates the creation of a skeleton and captures skinning data for your character, including fingers. If you have an existing rig, the map to user skeleton feature automatically maps it to the Cairos skeleton. For animation, Cairos can automatically retarget motion to your character, or you can leverage its plugins to hand off the retargeting process to a host application like Unreal, Houdini, or Blender.

The animation builder works based on the idea that most practical use cases require a choreography of multiple motions, our system is designed to build unlimited, complex sequences from a large and growing library of source motions.  It gets a list of motions as an input from the AI agent at the previous step, and retrieves the motion clips from the database. These clips are then intelligently spliced and mixed to create a complex resulting performance. We are actively exploring this area into a support for advanced secondary dynamics like cloth, hair, and muscle simulations, as well as nuanced facial animation.

Character rebuild to production level

By implementing a human-in-the-loop service, a rough conceptual model can be transformed into a production-ready character asset. A Cairos artist will rebuild the character's meshes and UVs. Groom is included, following user’s pick of lines, ribbons or mesh. The final output is delivered in a USD format to ensure seamless integration with modern animation, rigging, and simulation pipelines. Each asset is equipped with OpenPBR MaterialX shaders for consistent, physically-based rendering across various platforms and includes a high-resolution UDIM texture set, providing the detailed fidelity required for film and high-end game production. This hybrid approach marries the efficiency of automation with the creative precision of human expertise, guaranteeing a polished, animation-ready character that meets industry-standard requirements.

Rich export data

Cairos exports provide rich data, including rigged character and motion. This gives you the ability to access the source motions as well as retargeted and non-retargeted choreography. The platform also enables you to override motion blending and retargeting when needed, giving you the flexibility to fine-tune every detail of your character's movements for the precise look and feel you want.

Open interface

Our reference frontend, accessible at app.cairos.ai, is designed for easy access. You can import/export standard formats like FBX and GLTF in the webapp, and check out the provided guide docs on importing in your app of choice.Cairos can also be used inside your 3D platform via open source plugins, with all code published to GitHub. The Houdini integration is available now. Support for Blender, Maya, Unreal, Cinema4D, and 3ds Max is coming soon. For teams needing custom solutions, we also provide a robust Python SDK and a full OpenAPI spec, enabling building of clients for different backends.
